Lord, when did we see you a stranger and welcome you?
모든 고통받는 이들의 얼굴로 우리와 함께 하시는 주님, 한국을 찾아온 난민들을 기억하며 기도합니다.
지금도 전쟁과 내전의 공포에서 자유롭지 않은 지구촌에는 생명과 인간다운 삶을 위하여 고향을 떠난 난민들이 수천 만 명입니다. 평화를 잃어버린 세상을 향해 애통하는 마음을 주옵소서. 한국은 난민을 위한 법적 제도적 절차를 비교적 잘 갖추어 놓고 있지만, 정작 난민인정이 극소수에 머물고, 난민신청 과정에서 부당한 대우와 위협적인 조처를 적지 않게 당하고 있습니다. 이를 개선하기 위해 수고하는 시민단체와 활동가들에게 힘을 주시옵소서.
최근 우리는 한국사회가 난민들을 이토록 두려워하고, 적대시하는지 실감하게 되었습니다. 주님, 이 적대의 고리를 그리스도인들이 먼저 끊을 수 있기를 원합니다. 난민의 모습으로 우리를 찾아온 형제,자매들을 예수 그리스도를 대하듯 환대하고, 이들의 배고픔과 목마름을 어루만져 줄 수 있기를 원합니다. 한국사회 내부의 모순을 난민들에게 투사하고 적대시하는 일이 없도록 기도합니다. 이들을 받아들이는 과정에서 생명,평화,사랑,회복,연대의 아름다움을 경험하게 하옵소서.
난민의 얼굴로 우리와 함께 하시는 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 기도드립니다. 아멘.

I remember and pray that the Lord who is with us with the faces of all suffering people, the refugees who came to Korea.
There are still tens of millions of refugees who left their homes for life and human life in the global village, which is still not free from fear of war and civil war. Give me heart to mourn for the world that has lost peace. Although Korea has a relatively good legal and institutional procedures for refugees, refugee recognition is limited and refugees are being subjected to unreasonable treatment and threatening measures. Give strength to civil society and activists who work hard to improve this.
Recently, we have come to realize that Korean society is so afraid and hostile to refugees. Lord, I want Christians to break this ring of hostilities first. We want our brothers and sisters who come to us in the form of refugees to be treated like Jesus Christ, and to touch their hunger and thirst. I pray that the contradictions inside Korean society will not be projected and hostile to the refugees. Let us experience the beauty of life, peace, love, recovery and solidarity in the process of accepting them.
I pray in the name of Jesus Christ who is with us in the face of refugees. Amen.
